Hi Ryan,

I have 2 problems and I hope you can fix them.

As you can see on my testpage this is the link I use mysplitcssmenu.

Problem 1 top menu:
how is it working when I click on an item in the second level (Top 1.1) an article will open with a link to another article (Parent 1.1) and when I click on this link the article will open but the prior highlighted Top1 and Top 1.1 are disappier.
I've tryed a lot but without succsess.

Problem 2 left menu:
After clicking on an item the button is not keeping the orange color. (is normal created with joomla menu manager)

Could you please have a look on it. If it is nessesary I will give you full access to backend an data files (FileZilla). Donation is possible.

Thanks in advance.
Holger

Hello Holger,

Problem 1 top menu:
how is it working when I click on an item in the second level (Top 1.1) an article will open with a link to another article (Parent 1.1) and when I click on this link the article will open but the prior highlighted Top1 and Top 1.1 are disappier.
I've tryed a lot but without succsess.

The menu buttons are identified with Itemid in the URL. Try linking the article to Itemid=34 instead of 109.

Problem 2 left menu:
After clicking on an item the button is not keeping the orange color. (is normal created with joomla menu manager)

This is probably a similar problem. Just make sure you are using the right Itemid numbers in your links.

It may be useful to create a hidden menu where the menus module is not published. You can still use the links on this menu for their Itemid numbers. Then you can create links on a non hidden menu as External links with those Itemid numbers in them. This is a trick I often use.

You may want to check out the Extended menu module. It takes some getting used to but it is quite powerful and can probably do what you are trying to do easier.

extensions.joomla.org/extensions/core-en...ab-menus/163/details

If you need further help just let me know and I can see what I can do to help you out.

Which link are you referring to and what is losing its colour? Which browser are you using? I don't see any orange menu buttons not being orange when clicking through them.

Oh, I hope there is no misunderstanding,

left menu:
hover - color is #FF9900 (orange)
aktive - color ist #788999 (gray)

I use morzilla firefox

what I'm asking for is when the button ( example Left 1) is aktive/visited the color shoud be #FF9900

I hope I've made it clear
