TOPIC: Problem with summer time

Problem with summer time 1 year, 10 months ago #223

Hi,

I use your module with javascript.

I live in France.

Since this week-end, we use summer time (+1 hour).

But the time of the module isn't correct now.

How can I fix this ?

Thanks,

Ryo

Hi there,

There is an option to auto adjust for that time. Its called "Automatic switching of DST / Summer Time" under the time zone option which you should also be able to adjust instead if you want. The auto switching just will automatically adjust it on the specific dates which you can also set in there.

Hi,

Thanks for your time Ryan.

I see this option and it's enable so I don't understood.

The value of my time zone option is 0.

Maybe I make a mistake ?

Thanks again,

Ryo

You may have to adjust that number then.

I have another version of this module almost complete which gives you a drop down list of time zones instead of you having to enter a number. But depending on your time zone you may have to modify that number to be different. I live in EST so I enter -5. But when Summer Time is in effect it is actually -4. However when the automatic DST option is on it will automatically adjust it to -4 so I don't have to change the number in the box. Basically this number is the time offset from GMT which is 0. So if your time is off by an hour just try entering +1 or -1 in there and see if it shows as expected. If there is a bug in the module somewhere I would love to fix it but in this case I am not sure if its a bug or not.

Hi,

Thanks a lot,

I found the right time adding +3 in the time zone field.

So it's weird no ?

According to this page: www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/city.html?n=195

Paris, France is +2 GMT and in Summer Time it would add an extra hour so then be +3 so sounds about right to me
