How do i make the feedbonder plugin work? i installed it and published it then i set the section id and category but still the links of the feeds does'nt change... it's still have long links...
Can someone please help me...

Feedbonder will shorten links in Joomla content items that have brackets around them. Usually a Joomla created feed will contain links with brackets around them.

ok.. i'm using feedgator.. i'm getting a feed from google then the feeds that i get goes directly to a particular content category of a section.. the generated feeds links doesn't have a bracket or parenthesis. so i tried to put a bracket or parenthesis in one of the links but nothing happens..

Well that is odd then. Feedbonder does work with Feedgator when Feedgator pulls feeds from Joomla websites. Unless Google feeds are formatting the URL within () then it won't work. This is because of the way they are formatted when they are imported by Feedgator from Joomla content items.

It will scan Joomla content items for URLs contained within parenthesis and turn it into a small image. It has always worked for me like this. Occasionally the links would be broken because for some reason Joomla would put a space in the link instead of a symbol but when I correct that it works fine with any links between () within the section id or category id you enter into the bot parameters.

Hey,

Your site seems to be having the long URL problem not within the content item but in the Read More URL. Even if that appears in the content item it is not something between (these) it is part of an actual URL being produced which you want to be shortened. But it should be possible to modify the code to include that sort of URL somehow. I will add this soon and post it here for you.
